Parts Department Manager – Construction Machinery

Location: Chesterfield Salary: £38,000–£45,000 DOE + Benefits Hours: Mon–Thu 8:00–4:30, Fri 8:00–3:30 Job Type: Full‑time, Permanent

Francesca’s Recruitment Ltd is recruiting for a Parts Department Manager to join a well‑established construction machinery business in Chesterfield. This is a key leadership role overseeing the full parts operation, including procurement, stock control, customer service, and team management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage procurement, suppliers, and stock levels

  • Oversee distribution and ensure timely delivery of parts

  • Lead and develop the parts team

  • Handle customer enquiries and build strong relationships

  • Manage order processing, returns, and invoicing

  • Monitor KPIs and drive performance improvements

  • Maintain pricing, promotions, and online parts platforms

  • Support business growth and identify cost‑saving opportunities

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 3 years’ staff management experience

  • Strong background in spare parts management (construction machinery ideal)

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Strong organisational and problem‑solving abilities

  • Technical understanding of machinery and components

  • Experience with SAP, Salesforce, or Syncron is a bonus
