Seymour John are proud to be working in partnership with a well-established and growing organisation based in Telford who are looking to recruit a Payroll Specialist to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced payroll professional to take ownership of a busy payroll function, working collaboratively across HR and Finance.

The Role

You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across the organisation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Full end-to-end payroll processing including salary, overtime, sickness, and deductions
  • Maintaining payroll systems and ensuring data accuracy across multiple platforms
  • Producing and distributing payroll documentation including P45s, P60s and P11Ds
  • Managing payroll records, reporting, and documentation
  • Processing new starters and leavers including pro-rata calculations
  • Managing holiday calculations and records for both hourly and salaried employees
  • Administering pension schemes including auto-enrolment and contributions
  • Handling payroll queries in a professional and timely manner
  • Ensuring compliance with HMRC legislation and payroll regulations
  • Supporting audits and maintaining payroll compliance documentation
  • Liaising closely with internal teams including HR and Finance
  • Managing agency timesheets and associated administration
  • Supporting wider administrative duties linked to payroll and employee benefits

About You

  • Strong background in payroll administration
  • Good working knowledge of HMRC legislation and payroll compliance
  • Experience managing end-to-end payroll processes
  • Ideally CIPP qualified (or working towards)
  • Experience with payroll systems (training provided where needed)
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
