PE Teacher - 1 Year MAT Cover -  INDEPENDENT SCHOOL - September 2026

We are working with a highly regarded independent school in the East Midlands that is seeking to appoint a PE Teacher for a 1 year maternity cover contract starting in September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful and well-resourced PE department within a high-achieving school environment. The school has a strong sporting tradition, excellent facilities, and students who are highly engaged both academically and through extracurricular activities.

The successful candidate will:

• Teach PE across a range of key stages
• Deliver engaging and high-quality lessons
• Contribute to the wider extracurricular sports programme
• Support students in achieving their full potential both inside and outside the classroom
• Work collaboratively within a supportive and ambitious department

The school welcomes applications from experienced teachers as well as strong ECTs with a passion for PE and school sport.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• UK QTS or an equivalent teaching qualification
• Experience teaching PE within a secondary setting
• Strong classroom management skills
• A commitment to high standards of teaching and learning
• The ability to inspire and motivate students

Contract:

• 1 Year MAT Cover
• Full Time
• September 2026 Start
