We are looking for empathetic and energetic PE Teacher to join the Starfyn Education Family in a long term, full time role!

One of our schools caters for students, aged from 3 to 19 years, who have a primary diagnosis of Autism. They focus on supporting their children and young adults to reach their full potential, through a variety of different methods such as supporting their sensory development, to learning life skills.

The Role:
Employment Type – Agency (Temporary to Permanent)
Days Required – Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 4.30pm Term time only (Full time)
Pay - £194 to £258 per day PAYE (Dependant on experience).
 
The Ideal Candidate will:
To be considered for the role, the desirable candidate will have the following:
  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
  • ASD & SLD Experience 
  • Experience working across a large cohort of pre-verbal students, working cognitively at EYFS and year 1 level.
  • Understanding and supporting behaviours of concern- high sensory needs.
  • Knowledge/experience of ASD principles- using visuals, AAC communication, schedules, routines.
  • Availability to work full time and want to be part of a large community making a positive difference to many others lives.
Your Main Duties:
  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons catering for the children's specific needs.
  • Work alongside the PE department and cover the work specific to the SEN Curriculum.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and growth.
  • Teaching to a cognitive level of an EYFS to Year 1 Level.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
  • Help to Support students with positive behaviours. 
As an agency worker you are only paid for the days you have worked. Therefore, you will not be paid during the school holidays.
