Salary: £29,344–£44,919

As a Secondary PE Teacher, you will deliver structured and engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4, ensuring students remain active, focused, and supported.

Key responsibilities
Teach PE across KS3 and KS4
Plan structured lessons across a range of sports and activities
Promote teamwork, fitness, and participation
Manage large groups in practical settings
Ensure safety and organisation in all lessons
Support students of all ability levels
Maintain clear behaviour expectations

The classroom environment
Lessons are well organised and structured
Students understand expectations quickly
Participation is high across lessons
Behaviour is controlled and consistent

Skills and experience
Experience teaching PE or coaching
Confidence managing practical sessions
Strong organisation and communication
Ability to motivate students

What success looks like
Students participate consistently
Lessons run smoothly and safely
Confidence improves across ability levels

QTS is desirable; unqualified teachers are welcome to apply, particularly those with sports or coaching backgrounds
