A day in the life of a Murphy People Assistant
- Act as a first point of contact for BMJV staff, responding to queries in a timely and professional manner
- Manage queries via email, phone and in person, escalating where appropriate
- Administer onboarding, compliance processes, competency checking as required
- Support end-to-end onboarding processes including new starter administration and inductions
- Administer compliance requirements including right-to-work checks, documentation tracking and competency validation
- Ensure all records are accurate, complete, and compliant with audit requirements
- Assist in preparing people reports and management information
- Support tracking of key metrics (e.g. onboarding, diversity, training compliance)
- Provide administrative support for audits and inspections
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance efficiency
- Support people-related initiatives including onboarding improvements, engagement activities, and system implementation
- Work collaboratively with the wider People & Culture team on the Joint Venture, line managers and Client Team
- Support the People & Culture Team in successfully delivering People KPIs

- Experience in construction, infrastructure, or project-based environments
- Proficient in PowerBI
- Digital mindset, able to quicky learn new system
