People / HR Coordinator

We’re currently partnering with a growing organisation in the environmental and sustainability sector to recruit a HR / People Coordinator. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a purpose-driven business making a real impact, while developing your career in a hands-on HR role.

About the Role

As HR / People Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in supporting the full employee lifecycle—from recruitment and onboarding through to offboarding. Acting as a central point of contact between internal teams and external providers, you’ll ensure smooth, efficient, and compliant people processes across the business.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Onboarding

• Coordinate end-to-end onboarding for new starters
• Prepare and issue offer letters, contracts, and pre-employment checks
• Liaise with hiring managers to support recruitment activity
• Ensure new starters are set up across HR, IT, and payroll systems

HR Coordination & Compliance

• Act as the main liaison with the external HR provider
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR systems
• Support policy updates, documentation, and compliance requirements
• Respond to employee queries and provide HR administrative support

Employee Lifecycle Management

• Support all stages of the employee lifecycle
• Maintain employee records, contracts, and documentation
• Assist with performance reviews and HR initiatives

Agency & Stakeholder Management

• Support relationships with recruitment agencies
• Act as a key link between internal teams and external partners

About You

Experience:

• Previous experience in a HR or People Coordinator role
• Experience supporting recruitment and onboarding
• Strong administrative and organisational skills
• Exposure to payroll processes and HR systems

Qualifications:

• CIPD Level 3 (or working towards) – desirable
• GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and Maths
