• Salary TBC we anticipate £50,000 - £60,000

The Pilot Plant Manager jobs role

• Develop new processes, test, report and analyse results 
• This will be a very varied role - running trials, analysing reports and findings. The role will still be hands on - you MUST have that 'get stuck in' mentality and be technically curious 
• Oversee safety, budget control, scheduling, and compliance.
• Liaise closely with subcontractors for maintenance of plant / maintenance of equipment 
• Manage contractors, suppliers, and regulatory interactions (COMAH, REACH, waste regulations).
• Navigate ambiguity and problem-solve on the ground when things don’t go exactly to plan.

Your background / what we are looking for

• Flexible on background - technically curious and passionate about making a difference 
• Any exposure to process industries would be beneficial (chemical, plastics, polymer, oil & gas, petrochemical, pharma, biotech – possibly with COMAH / REACH type of regs)
• Practical knowledge of regulatory frameworks (COMAH, REACH, environmental, safety) would be beneficial but not essential 
• Intellectual agility and problem-solving mindset – able to learn fast and adapt on the fly.
