Reinstatement Planner - Water / Utilities

Stevenage

Up to £38,000 (DOE)


The Reinstatement Planner is responsible for the safe, compliant, and efficient delivery of all reinstatement works across the business. The role ensures that reinstatement of all schemes are completed in accordance with statutory requirements, contractual obligations, and client specifications while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, productivity, and cost control.


You will have scheduling experience to: complete closure reports, daily whereabouts and completions, operations Team updates, street works information and customer and local authority requirements, to plan and programme reinstatement works in advance.


To:


  • Plan and assist in delivering the reinstatement programme reinstatement in accordance with:
  • Safety at Street Works and Road Works (SORH)
  • Highway Authority specifications
  • New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSWA)
  • Client standards
  • Monitor progress throughout the day and maintain regular contact with teams.
  • Provide support to resolve operational issues as they arise.
  • Proactively manage problems to the fullest extent possible before escalating.
  • Liaise with Streetworks teams to secure permit extensions where required, avoiding last-day requests.
  • Highlight the installation or removal of special surfaces


You will demonstrate detailed knowledge of all road construction and reinstatement methods including:


o  Type 0 roads

o  Type 1 roads

o  Flexible and rigid constructions

o  Modular and specialist surfaces

  • Confidently identify defects and challenge substandard workmanship.
  • Review job photographs and documentation to ensure additional works are planned where required, including:

o  Damaged ducting

o  Low Level Concrete (LLC)

o  Kerbs

o  Edgings

o  Ironwork adjustments
