Plant Fitter
Location: East Midlands (site-based, within 30 minutes of Burton-on-Trent/Swadlincote)
Salary: £45,000 - £52,000 + overtime + benefits

We are working with a well-established industrial business investing heavily in a new state-of-the-art facility. As part of this growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Plant Fitter to join a small, close-knit maintenance team.

The Role:

• Service, maintain and repair heavy plant machinery including shredders, trommels and loading shovels
• Carry out inspections, fault finding and diagnostics using modern equipment
• Complete mechanical repairs, part replacements and adjustments to ensure operational efficiency
• Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment and electrical testing tools
• Maintain accurate service records and daily job logs

About You:

• Proven experience working on heavy plant or similar machinery
• Experience within waste, recycling or similar environments beneficial
• Welding experience advantageous
• Time served with recognised engineering qualifications
• Strong work ethic with good communication skills

Working Environment:

• Mix of workshop and outdoor work in varying conditions
• Involves manual handling, working at height and exposure to industrial environments

Package:

• Monday to Friday, 47.5 hours per week (10 Hour Days)
• Overtime available, including weekends paid at enhanced rates
• 22 days holiday plus bank holidays
• Company pension scheme
