Attega Group is working on behalf of our client as their in-house recruitment provider.
We are currently recruiting for a Plumbing/Drainage assistant to join their team.
The main purpose of this Plumbing/Drainage Assistant role is to assistant the Lead Plumbing/Drainage operative with quoted works and remedial teams.
In return, our client is offering a salary of up to £36,000 P/A, depending on experience.
This role is full-time and permanent.
Reporting to the Operations Manager your responsibilities will include:
- assist the lead operative undertaking internal and external investigation works, above ground and below ground descales with use of HPWJ and mechanical coring/ milling equipment.
- Learning how to operating electrical mechanical coring equipment and Picote milling machines for internal drainage clearance works.
- Become competent in operating HPWJ equipment
- Capable of investigating and tracing external underground drainage systems on commercial and industrial sites.
- Strong attention to detail and a customer focused attitude.
- Must be a self-motivated individual and it is important that you have excellent people, communication and customer service skills.
- Leak tracing and investigation on above ground water services
- Repairing leaks on water services in service voids and risers.
- Removing and replacing small bore waste pipe on pot wash sinks, basins, urinals etc
- Replacing mixer taps, wash down taps and spray guns
- Replacing toilet float lines and stack pipework
- Removing and Installing cast iron soil pipework
- Supporting drainage operatives with internal drain descales.
- Capable of identifying configuration and design issues within internal drainage systems.
- Competent in undertaking CCTV survey inspections where you will be responsible for identifying defects, pipe condition, design issues and misconnections within underground and above ground drainage systems.
- Using CCTV equipment to support leak investigation.
- Taking water samples to confirm source of leaks.
The ideal candidate:
Willingness to learn
Full UK Driving Licence
Happy to assist on nights and possible stay away works
Plumbing/ Drainage experience or understanding
