Job Title: PMLD Teacher (short-term)

Area: Rochdale, Greater Manchester

Start Date: Monday 1st June 2026

Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary

Salary: £200 - £300 per day (dependent on experience)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm

About the role:

We are looking for a dedicated PMLD Teacher to work with students across KS2, KS3 supporting them to achieve their developmental milestones and EHCP outcomes. The role involves close collaboration with support staff, parents/carers, and other professionals to provide a consistent and holistic approach to learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver tailored lessons to pupils with PMLD
  • Plan and differentiate engaging lessons to meet EHCP outcomes and developmental milestones
  • Work closely with support staff and parents/carers to ensure a consistent and supportive learning environment
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and safe learning space where every student can thrive

What We're Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching in an SEN setting (or strong SEN knowledge within a mainstream environment)
  • A calm, empathetic, and resilient approach to classroom management
  • Passion for inclusive education and a commitment to nurturing every child's progress

To be eligible you must:

  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service OR be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references
