Powder Blending Manager

Candour Talent are recruiting a Powder Blending Manager to join their client’s manufacturing team in South Wales.

• Working Hours: Mon-Fri – 40hrs - two-shift rota of Days and Afternoons
• Salary: £37k
• Holidays: 25+8 (increasing with service)

Our client is looking for an experienced Powder Blending Manager to join their manufacturing team in South Wales. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management of the blending area at a new manufacturing site. Toy will oversee all aspects of powder blending operations, ensuring consistent product quality, operational efficiency, and full compliance with safety and regulatory standards. You will lead a team of operators and technicians, manage production schedules, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across blending processes.

The Role:

• Manage day-to-day powder blending operations to meet production targets and quality standards
• Develop and optimize blending processes for efficiency, consistency, and cost-effectiveness
• Ensure all products meet required specifications, including homogeneity, particle distribution, and moisture levels
• Oversee equipment operation, maintenance scheduling, and troubleshooting
• Lead, train, and supervise blending staff, fostering a strong safety and performance culture
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance to ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., GMP, HACCP, BRC)
• Monitor and control inventory of raw materials and finished blends
• Analyse production data and implement continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations
• Support new product development and scale-up of formulations

The Ideal Candidate:

• 5+ years of experience in powder processing, blending, or bulk material handling
• 2+ years in a supervisory or management role
• Experience with industrial blending equipment (e.g., ribbon blenders)
• Knowledge of regulatory standards relevant to the industry (e.g., GMP, FDA, ISO)
• Strong communication skills are essential, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels and build effective relationships
• Strong problem-solving and process optimization skills
• Food safety qualification - level 3
• HACCP qualification - level 3
