GP Surgery – Huddersfield

Hours Rate : 24 - 37.5 hours per week  £24.00

Are you a passionate and experienced Practice Nurse looking to join a friendly and supportive GP surgery ? We are currently seeking a dedicated nurse to join our team.

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Practice Nurse to join our large, supportive, in-house multidisciplinary team. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional looking to develop their career within a collaborative and forward-thinking primary care environment.

About the Role
The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care across a range of clinical areas. Responsibilities will include proactive support in some or all of the following:

  • Diabetes and other chronic disease management
  • Health promotion and screening
  • Travel health services
  • Cervical cytology
  • Sexual health
  • Baby, childhood, and adult immunisations and vaccinations
  • Active involvement within the Primary Care Network (PCN)

You will be working within a modern clinical system using TPP SystmOne and will be supported by a well-established, multidisciplinary team.

Person Specification

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualified Nurse with current NMC registration
  • Proven experience in General Practice Nursing
  • Cervical screening qualification/experience
  • Experience in long-term condition management (e.g. diabetes, respiratory, cardiovascular)
  • Competence in complex wound care
  • Experience delivering immunisations and vaccinations
  • Strong understanding of General Practice Nursing responsibilities
