Job Details
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Working Pattern: 7:30am – 3:30pm (30-minute unpaid lunch)
Location: Fully on-site, Leigh, Greater Manchester
About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable individual to join our team as a Prescription Processor. This is a key operational role supporting the accurate processing of prescriptions, ensuring patient needs are met efficiently and in line with required standards.
You will be working as part of a large team in a structured, process-driven environment. Full training will be provided, and you will be supported to build up to expected performance levels within your first three months.
About You
You will be someone who is comfortable working in a structured environment, takes pride in accuracy, and can maintain focus when completing repetitive tasks. You will be motivated to meet targets and contribute positively to a team environment.
Key Responsibilities

Check prescriptions against orders to ensure all details are accurate

Process and manually endorse prescriptions in line with procedures

Input and maintain accurate data using internal systems, including NHS PMR

Process a high volume of prescriptions (up to approximately 800 per day after training)

Support inbound and outbound calls where required

Work towards and achieve set KPIs and productivity targets
Skills and Experience

Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately at pace

Good IT skills, including confidence using multiple systems and Microsoft Excel

Previous experience in administration, data entry, or a similar processing role is preferred

Ability to work in a repetitive, task-focused environment

Good communication skills for basic customer interaction

GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English
