Our engineering clients based close to Havant have an exciting opportunity for a Press Brake Operator to join their growing team.
As a Press Brake Operator, you will be a key player in our production team, responsible for setting up and operating CNC press brakes to produce high-quality sheet metal components. Your expertise will ensure our production targets are met efficiently and to the highest standards.
Key responsibilities:
- Set up and operate all CNC press brakes.
- Read and interpret blueprints, plans and engineering drawings.
- Ensure production processes are cost-effective and report any time overruns.
- Promote and maintain our quality standards in collaboration with the Quality Manager.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures and adhere to health and safety guidelines.
- Assist in developing ideas to reduce waste and increase efficiency.
- Support training requirements and mentor team members.
- Provide feedback to management to enhance processes and quality control.
Required skills
- Experience using Press Brake Machines or similar
- Experience and understanding of Lean manufacturing principles
- Experience with CAD software – not essential
Working hours
4 day working week! Monday – Thursday – 7am – 5pm
