Primary Teacher

New Directions Education is currently seeking qualified and committed Primary Teachers to work on a supply basis across a range of primary schools in Leeds. These roles offer flexibility and variety, covering short-term, long-term, and day-to-day assignments to meet the needs of partner schools.

This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) to gain valuable classroom experience, maintain a positive work-life balance, and work within supportive and diverse school environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching in line with the national curriculum
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively and maintain a positive learning environment
• Adapt lesson plans to meet the needs of pupils and school requirements
• Uphold safeguarding and school policies at all times
• Provide feedback to school staff where required

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Recent experience teaching within a primary school setting
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• A flexible and professional approach to teaching
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
