Principal Fire Engineer

A leading national consultancy is seeking a Principal Fire Engineer to join their established and growing Fire Engineering team. This Principal Fire Engineer role is ideal for a technically confident, commercially aware fire specialist who is looking to lead complex projects and play a visible role in the development of a successful national team.

As a Principal Fire Engineer, you will work across a broad range of high-profile schemes, providing strategic and technical fire engineering advice. The Principal Fire Engineer will be trusted to manage key client relationships, oversee project delivery and support the growth of junior colleagues. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Principal Fire Engineer looking for influence, autonomy and long-term progression.

The Principal Fire Engineer's Role

The Principal Fire Engineer will lead the delivery of fire engineering services across a varied portfolio of projects, providing fire strategies, performance-based design advice, technical reviews and client consultancy.

The Principal Fire Engineer will work closely with developers, architects, contractors, design teams and internal multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring practical and compliant fire safety solutions are delivered to a high standard.

The Principal Fire Engineer

The Principal Fire Engineer will ideally have:

• Extensive fire engineering consultancy experience
• Strong technical knowledge of fire strategies and Building Regulations
• Experience managing complex projects
• Excellent client-facing and commercial skills
• Ability to mentor and develop junior fire engineers
• MIFireE or working towards Chartered Engineer status
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
