The Role
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Procurement Manager to join our expanding team.
Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager, the Procurement Manager will take ownership of procurement strategy and delivery across Green Frog Connect’s infrastructure and EPC projects. The role will work closely with project, design, commercial and finance teams to ensure the efficient, timely and cost-effective procurement of materials, equipment and subcontract services.
This is a key role within the business, supporting project delivery, improving procurement processes, managing supplier performance and helping to strengthen our supply chain as the company continues to grow.
Main Duties
The Procurement Manager will be responsible for leading procurement activity across multiple projects, including:
- Developing and managing procurement strategies to support project delivery, cost control and business growth.
- Leading the sourcing and procurement of materials, equipment and subcontract services from tender through to delivery.
- Managing supplier relationships, framework agreements and long-term supply arrangements.
- Negotiating commercial terms, pricing and contract conditions to secure best value and reduce commercial risk.
- Supporting project planning with accurate procurement lead times, delivery schedules and supplier updates.
- Working closely with project teams to identify procurement risks and implement mitigation plans to avoid delays.
- Monitoring procurement performance, supplier performance and spend against project budgets.
- Supporting forecasting, cost reporting and cashflow planning in collaboration with the Commercial and Finance teams.
- Reviewing and improving procurement systems, procedures and reporting processes.
- Supporting sustainable, ethical and responsible sourcing practices across the supply chain.
- Providing guidance and support to colleagues involved in purchasing and procurement activity.

- Confident managing suppliers, subcontractors and internal stakeholders across multiple projects.
- Organised and proactive with strong attention to detail and a structured approach to procurement.
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced project delivery environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to support decision-making.
- Experienced in improving procurement processes, systems and reporting.
- Committed to sustainable and responsible sourcing practices.
- Comfortable taking ownership of procurement strategy while remaining hands-on when required.
Qualifications and Experience
- CIPS Level 4 qualification or equivalent preferred, or working towards.
- Relevant degree or vocational qualification, such as ONC, HNC, BTEC or NVQ Level 3, in supply chain, business, engineering or a related discipline.
- Demonstrable experience in a procurement, purchasing or supply chain management role, ideally within the construction, engineering, utilities, renewable energy or infrastructure sectors.
- Proven experience managing supplier relationships, negotiating commercial terms and supporting project-based procurement.
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency with Excel and procurement systems.
- Experience managing or supporting procurement processes across multiple live projects would be advantageous.
