Dovetail Recruitment are hiring a Senior Product Manager for a product-led FMCG business supplying major UK and international retailers across ambient food, healthy snacking and confectionery.
This is an end-to-end NPD role with ownership across product development, formulation, project management and retail delivery. You’ll manage multiple projects from concept through to launch, working cross-functionally with technical, buying, design and supply chain teams.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead NPD and product development from concept to launch
- Develop and optimise formulations (taste, nutrition, cost, quality)
- Manage critical paths, timelines and product launches
- Deliver customer presentations, tastings and benchmarking
- Use market trends and insights to drive innovation strategy
- Collaborate with suppliers and attend trade shows (UK/EU travel)
- Work cross-functionally across technical, commercial and supply chain
Experience required:
- 5+ years in NPD / product development / food manufacturing
- Experience within ambient food, FMCG or retail supply
- Strong formulation, ingredients and sensory knowledge
- Proven project management and critical path management
- Experience presenting to retailers / customers
- Commercial awareness (costings, pricing, margins)
