Production Fitter – Sheffield
£19.18 per hour + 15% shift allowance | 37.75 hours per week 

Working Pattern
This Production Fitter role operates on a rotating shift pattern:

• Mornings: Monday to Friday 06:00 to 14:00
• Afternoons: Monday to Friday 13:00 to 21:00
• Nights: Monday to Thursday 20:00 to 06:00

Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a well-established engineering business in Sheffield to recruit a Production Fitter. This is a hands-on role within a large-scale manufacturing environment, working on complex, high-value components used in critical industries.

The Role
As a Production Fitter, you will work within the machine shop environment assembling and fitting large-scale components. Duties will include:

• Working from technical drawings to assemble and fit components
• Measuring and inspecting using micrometers, verniers and other precision tools
• Manufacturing small bespoke parts using turning, milling and grinding equipment
• Carrying out bench fitting using hand tools
• Performing hydraulic and hardness testing
• Supporting apprentices through training and mentoring

The Person
To be successful in this Production Fitter role, you will need:

• Apprentice training in an engineering discipline
• Previous experience in a similar fitting or machining role
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Experience using measuring equipment such as micrometers and verniers
• Competence with handheld and pneumatic tools
• Experience operating cranes and forklift trucks
