ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced and highly organised Production / Project Manager to join a fast-growing creative product development business specialising in sustainable product ranges for major grocery and volume retailers.
This is a pivotal role responsible for managing the full production lifecycle, from receipt of customer orders through to final delivery. Working closely with factories in China and collaborating with internal teams across Sales, Design, Product Development, Logistics, and Finance, you will ensure products are delivered on time, to specification, and to the highest quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing customer orders from confirmation to delivery
- Creating and maintaining detailed production critical paths
- Monitoring progress and proactively resolving delays or issues
- Acting as the main point of contact for overseas factories
- Coordinating sample development, approvals, testing, and certification
- Managing red seal and green seal approval processes
- Ensuring compliance with customer specifications and regulatory requirements
- Liaising with freight forwarders and logistics partners
- Tracking shipments and resolving delivery issues
- Driving continuous improvement across production and supplier performance

ABOUT THE CANDIDATE
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented professional with strong project management skills and experience managing production with international suppliers.
You will have:
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a Production Manager, Project Manager, or Product Development role
- Experience working with factories in China and managing overseas suppliers
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, product testing, and approvals
- Excellent critical path management and project planning skills
- Experience managing red seal and green seal approvals
- Familiarity with retailer compliance requirements and testing standards
- Strong problem-solving and organisational abilities
- Excellent communication skills and high attention to detail
- Advanced Excel and reporting skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working with grocery and high-volume retail customers would be ideal

SALARY
Circa £40,000, depending on experience
