Production Operative

The Job People are looking for Production Operatives to join a well-established Logistics company in Leamington Spa.

We are looking for hardworking, enthusiastic colleagues who are willing to work long term with the opportunity to gain a full-time contract.

Candidates must have excellent verbal and written English, must have some machine / production experience and able to use a computer.

Candidates must also have a full driving licence to use a company vehicle to travel between their local sites.

Shift Hours as a Production Operative:

• Fixed AM Shift
• 08.00-16.30
• Monday to Friday
• Flex required from time to time, start an hour earlier, or stay an hour later, depending on the customer requirements.
• Opportunity to go permanent after a qualifying period.

Pay Rates for a Production Operative:

• £14.00 PER HOUR
• £21.00 PER HOUR Overtime paid after 40 hours - time & a half rate.
• Opportunity for a full time contract after 12 weeks

Duties as a Production Operative in Leamington Spa:

• Run the 'Ink Room' within the warehouse
• Must be able to manage the daily / weekly workload to ensure the machines have enough inks to run
• Ensure all machines are topped up with the correct inks
• Responsible to forward think and plan jobs accordingly
• Ensure to order when running low to avoid production downtime
• Support the operation with the moving of stock and pallets in the warehouse
• Drive a company vehicle between 3 local sites - full driving licence required
• Have a keen eye for detail and ensure no mistakes are made
• Checking customer orders and ensuring 100% accuracy
• Stock checking and stock put away.
• Role requires you to stand on your feet for long periods of time and some heavy lifting of boxed goods.
• Role requires you to work well alone using own initiative
• Pro active approach to work
