Overview:
One of our clients in the Castleford area is currently looking for a Production & Repair Engineer with the ability to assemble and test their electronic transmission products to a high degree of quality and accuracy to join the team.
Hours: Monday – Friday 8:30am to 4.30pm
Salary: £32-34k p/a (depending on experience)
Duties
- Program, modify, and test printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and defined procedures..
- Perform electrical and functional testing, including complex fault-finding and diagnosis to PCB level
- Diagnose and complete component-level PCBA repairs
- Carry out final assembly, firmware programming, and verification testing prior to product release
- Support prototype and pre-production builds, working closely with R&D colleagues.
- Conduct in-process and final inspection to verify product conformity, identifying and reporting any non-conformances.
Skills
- IPC-A-610 certification required.
- Ability to read and understand circuit diagrams for fault diagnosis.
- Highly developed teamwork skills.
- A good degree of IT literacy to perform basic testing as well as recoding test results to the company’s IT system.
- Demonstrated ability to increase productivity and a hunger. to improve methods, approaches, and not be afraid to bring new ideas to the role. A commitment to continuous learning would be valued and supported.
- Excellent hand-eye co-ordination, patience, and a keen eye for detail.
- Capable of working in a dynamic, fast-paced production environment.
- Capacity to learn new skills and deploy them effectively.
- Understanding of health & safety within a production lab environment.
