Production Supervisor

Futures are currently recruiting for an experienced Production Supervisor on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader with a strong manufacturing background who is passionate about driving operational excellence, maintaining quality standards, and developing high-performing teams.
The successful candidate will have proven experience within a manufacturing environment and a strong understanding of production processes, audits, 5S methodologies, continuous improvement initiatives, and people management.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and develop production teams to achieve daily, weekly, and monthly production targets.
- Ensure all production activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with company procedures.
- Drive and maintain 5S standards across the manufacturing facility.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with quality, safety, and operational standards.
- Support internal and external audits, ensuring all documentation and processes are audit-ready.
- Monitor production performance, identify inefficiencies, and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage staffing levels, performance reviews, training, and employee development.
- Investigate production issues, implement corrective actions, and drive root cause analysis.
- Work closely with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Ensure KPIs relating to productivity, quality, waste, downtime, and safety are achieved.
- Promote a positive culture focused on teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
The Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience as a Production Supervisor, Manufacturing Supervisor, Shift Supervisor, or similar leadership role.
- Essential background within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Demonstrable experience leading and managing production teams.
- Strong knowledge and practical application of 5S principles.
- Experience participating in and supporting internal and external audits.
- Understanding of continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, or Six Sigma would be advantageous.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Competent with production reporting and performance monitoring systems.
