The Opportunity
As Production Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in leading and coordinating day-to-day production activities, ensuring operations are delivered safely, efficiently and in full compliance with regulatory standards.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will drive performance, develop your team and contribute to the ongoing growth and evolution of site operations.
The Role
- Lead and coordinate daily production operations within a regulated manufacturing environment
- Promote and maintain a strong safety culture aligned with COMAH and site standards
- Support the development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Participate in HAZOP studies, risk assessments and incident investigations
- Ensure full compliance with Permit to Work and controlled operations systems
- Provide leadership, coaching and development to production team members
- Collaborate with engineering, EHS and wider teams to resolve operational issues
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reliability
- Support the introduction and development of new operational areas across site
- Proven experience within chemical manufacturing or a similar high-hazard process industry
- Strong understanding of Permit to Work systems and controlled operations
- Experience or exposure to HAZOP and process safety activities
- Demonstrated leadership capability with experience managing or mentoring teams
- Proactive, solutions-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
- Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
- COMAH experience is desirable but not essential
- Flexibility to work a continental shift pattern
