This is an excellent opportunity to join a technically advanced business operating within a high-hazard / COMAH environment, where safety, continuous improvement and people development are at the forefront of operations.
 
The Opportunity
As Production Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in leading and coordinating day-to-day production activities, ensuring operations are delivered safely, efficiently and in full compliance with regulatory standards.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will drive performance, develop your team and contribute to the ongoing growth and evolution of site operations.
 
The Role
  • Lead and coordinate daily production operations within a regulated manufacturing environment
  • Promote and maintain a strong safety culture aligned with COMAH and site standards
  • Support the development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Participate in HAZOP studies, risk assessments and incident investigations
  • Ensure full compliance with Permit to Work and controlled operations systems
  • Provide leadership, coaching and development to production team members
  • Collaborate with engineering, EHS and wider teams to resolve operational issues
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reliability
  • Support the introduction and development of new operational areas across site
What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience within chemical manufacturing or a similar high-hazard process industry
  • Strong understanding of Permit to Work systems and controlled operations
  • Experience or exposure to HAZOP and process safety activities
  • Demonstrated leadership capability with experience managing or mentoring teams
  • Proactive, solutions-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
  • COMAH experience is desirable but not essential
  • Flexibility to work a continental shift pattern
