Principal Responsibilities:
The principal responsibilities of the Project Engineer – Pipework / Support Manufacturing, are as follows:
- Providing Engineering (Technical) support to the Package Project Management team, including attendance at weekly / monthly PM meetings.
- Collate and maintain support tracker to record support book releases and design holds at HO2, through to manufacturing completion at HO3.
- Manage change management process relating to design updates post HO2, pre-HO3.
- Manage the Technical Query (TQ) process for the package, including chairing regular TQ meetings with stakeholders and facilitating responses from responsible departments, as required.
- Ensure CEMAR is maintained to reflect TQ progress and resolutions.
- Manage Engineering input to HO3 requirements.
- Provide technical input into HO1-HO2 ‘Constructability’ issues, as required.
- Provide support to Lead, as required.
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience:
- Track record of working on projects within a technically complex and dynamic environment, ideally within the Nuclear Energy sector or similar regulated environment.
- Demonstrate expertise in relevant technical discipline within the pipework manufacturing / construction / management environment.
- Proven ability to successfully deliver engineering safely to the correct quality, time and cost in a fast paced, schedule driven environment.
- Experience of successfully engaging, managing and influencing groups of stakeholders and facilitating issues resolution.
- Good presentation, influencing and facilitation skills. Excellent communication and organisational skills, able to develop relationships and maintain effective networks.
- Meticulous and rigorous approach to engineering to achieve high professional standards.
- Ability to work autonomously but with awareness of own limitations.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in an engineering, construction, or other related field.
- Working knowledge of French language an advantage, but not essential.
- Knowledge of CDM Regulations
Technical Comeptencies
The contractor will be expected to have a working level of knowledge of, and to use, the following (or similar equivalent) software tools:
- Working level knowledge of, and use of, the following (or similar equivalent) software tools:
- Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- 3D PDMS or Navisworks
- Contract Management software (eg. CEMAR, Teamcenter)
