We are currently working with a leading fire protection contractor who is looking to appoint an experienced M&E-biased Project Manager to support the delivery of key projects across Central London. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business with a strong pipeline of work spanning commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments.
The Role:
As Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of fire protection projects with a strong focus on mechanical and electrical systems, including fire alarms, suppression systems, and associated infrastructure. You’ll play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage fire protection projects from pre-construction through to completion
- Oversee M&E elements including fire alarm systems, sprinkler systems, and associated works
- Coordinate subcontractors, site teams, and suppliers
- Ensure compliance with current fire safety and building regulations
- Monitor project programmes, budgets, and risk
- Carry out site visits, inspections, and progress meetings
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders
- Ensure all health & safety standards are met and maintained
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within M&E or fire protection
- Strong understanding of fire alarm systems, suppression systems, and M&E services
- Knowledge of UK fire safety regulations and industry standards
- Relevant qualifications in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or similar (desirable)
- SMSTS or equivalent
- Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
