We are currently recruiting for an experienced Freelance Project Manager to oversee a major civil engineering and infrastructure package on a high-profile development in Abingdon.

This is a long-term freelance opportunity with a reputable contractor, offering the chance to take full responsibility for the successful delivery of a significant programme of works.

Responsibilities

• Managing the project from site commencement through to completion.

• Leading site teams, subcontractors and supply chain partners.

• Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and within budget.

• Monitoring progress and driving productivity across all work fronts.

• Maintaining high standards of health, safety, quality and environmental compliance.

• Coordinating with clients, consultants and key stakeholders.

• Managing project reporting, planning and risk mitigation.

• Chairing progress meetings and ensuring key milestones are achieved.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience as a Project Manager on large-scale civil engineering, infrastructure or enabling works projects.

• Strong leadership and communication skills.

• Ability to manage multiple subcontractors and workstreams simultaneously.

• Proven track record of delivering projects safely and efficiently.

• SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid certification.

• NEC contract experience beneficial.
