My client is a leading civil engineering contractor currently seeking an experienced Marine Project Manager to support the delivery of a major marine infrastructure project in Suffolk.

This is an excellent opportunity to join Sizewell C and be involved in marine piling, heavy civils, structural steelwork and precast concrete construction.

Project Manager Responsibilities:

  • Manage allocated sections of work from mobilisation through to final handover.

  • Develop and maintain project programmes, resource plans and construction sequences.

  • Coordinate labour, plant, materials and subcontractors to achieve project milestones.

  • Ensure works are delivered in accordance with specifications, programme requirements and contractual obligations.

  • Manage subcontractor performance, productivity, quality and safety.

  • Monitor project costs and support commercial reporting, forecasting and budget control.

  • Raise and manage Early Warnings and Compensation Events under NEC contracts.

  • Review and implement RAMS, quality plans and inspection procedures.

  • Maintain effective communication with clients, consultants and key stakeholders.

  • Produce regular progress reports and provide updates on risks, opportunities and project performance.

  • Support project close-out activities including as-built records and handover documentation.

  • Drive continuous improvement, efficiency and best practice across the project.

Project Manager Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager within civil engineering, infrastructure or marine construction.

  • Previous experience delivering marine works is essential.

  • Strong understanding of NEC contracts, ideally NEC4 Option C.

  • Experience managing subcontractors and multi-disciplinary site teams.

  • Strong planning and programme management capabilities.

  • Commercial awareness with experience in cost control, forecasting and reporting.

  • Good understanding of construction health, safety and environmental requirements.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Civil Engineering qualification or equivalent experience preferred.

  • SMSTS and CSCS Card desirable.
