About the Role

We are recruiting for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects across the South East of England.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in managing both Civil Engineering and MEICA projects within the UK water sector and will be responsible for the successful delivery of projects from design through to commissioning and handover.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing organisation with a secured pipeline of AMP8 work across major water utility frameworks.



Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full project lifecycle from inception through to completion.
  • Lead multidisciplinary project teams delivering Civils and MEICA works.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme and within budget.
  • Manage project budgets, forecasting and commercial performance.
  • Coordinate design, procurement, construction and commissioning activities.
  • Manage subcontractors, suppliers and client relationships.
  • Monitor project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
  • Produce project reports and attend client progress meetings.
  • Support the development and mentoring of project delivery teams.


Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager within the UK water industry.
  • Strong understanding of both Civil Engineering and MEICA project delivery.
  • Experience delivering water or wastewater treatment projects.
  • Knowledge of NEC contracts and project controls.
  • Excellent commercial awareness and budget management skills.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.


Desirable

  • Previous experience working on Southern Water, Thames Water or South East Water frameworks.
  • APMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent Project Management qualification.
  • SMSTS, IOSH or NEBOSH certification.
  • Chartered status or working towards chartership.
