Location: Cambridgeshire (Hybrid Working)
Salary: £50,000 – £57,000 + Benefits
The Opportunity
We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager to take ownership of complex, bespoke engineering projects within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
This is a hands-on, customer-facing role where you’ll manage the full lifecycle — from concept and design through to installation and commissioning.
You’ll work closely with Sales, Design, and Manufacturing teams to deliver high-quality solutions on time and within budget.
The Role
- Take full ownership of projects from award to completion
- Manage project plans, timelines, budgets, and risks
- Act as the main point of contact for customers
- Develop technical solutions and layout concepts
- Work closely with design teams to deliver detailed engineering outputs
- Oversee manufacture, installation, and commissioning
- Identify improvements to cost, efficiency, and performance
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Project Manager or Senior Engineer
- Background in capital equipment, automation, or manufacturing
- Strong technical understanding of mechanical systems (conveyors, motors, pneumatics)
- Experience managing full project lifecycles
- Commercial awareness and customer-facing experience
- CAD knowledge (SolidWorks preferred)
Desirable:
- Food processing or production line experience
- Knowledge of hygiene standards and industry regulations
- Project management qualifications (PRINCE2, PMP)
