Millbank Holdings

Do you have hands-on experience developing and managing detailed construction programmes using Primavera P6 on complex infrastructure projects?
Can you demonstrate how you have identified programme risks or delays and successfully implemented mitigation strategies to protect project delivery?
Would you like to be the planner who helps keep a landmark renewable energy project on track from concept through to completion?

The Opportunity
If you’re a planner who thrives on complexity, collaboration, and seeing projects come to life, this is your chance to be at the heart of a transformational hydro-electric power scheme. Driven by significant investment and long-term demand for renewable energy infrastructure, this project is scaling rapidly bringing together multiple disciplines, contractors, and stakeholders across a technically challenging environment in the Scottish Highlands. As a result, the project team is expanding and seeking a Planner to play a key role in ensuring delivery certainty through robust, intelligent programme management. You’ll be working alongside experienced project leaders, influencing decision-making through clear, data-driven planning insight, and helping to ensure that one of the UK’s most important renewable energy projects is delivered safely, efficiently, and on time.

Your duties and responsibilities will be:
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance detailed project programmes to support successful delivery
  • Monitor and update progress against programme, identifying risks, delays, and mitigation strategies
  • Introducing and manage programme changes, ensuring accuracy and traceability
  • Resource and cost-load programmes to support project controls and forecasting
  • Analyse programme performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
  • Provide accurate and timely reporting for internal and external stakeholders
  • Support short-term and long-term planning requirements across the project lifecycle
  • Evaluate subcontractor and supply chain programmes for alignment and robustness
  • Apply planning best practice and ensure programme integrity through appropriate checks
  • Collaborate with project teams, designers, and stakeholders to ensure aligned delivery
  • Communicate planning information clearly across multiple formats and audiences

You will have the following qualifications & experience:
  • Strong experience working as a Planner within construction, engineering, or infrastructure projects
  • Proven ability to develop, update, and manage project programmes
  • Experience using planning software such as Primavera P6
  • Solid understanding of construction methodologies and sequencing
  • Experience analysing programme performance and identifying risks and opportunities
  • Knowledge of commercial and contractual implications within project planning
  • Ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple priorities
It’s great if you also have the following
  • Experience within renewable energy or large-scale infrastructure projects
  • Experience working in complex, multi-contractor or joint venture environments
  • Ability to coach or mentor junior planners or project team members
  • Familiarity with risk analysis and programme assurance techniques
  • Exposure to cost-loading and integrated project controls environments
  • Experience working in remote or challenging project environments

The setting for the role
You’ll be based within a major hydro-electric construction project in the Scottish Highlands, working closely with delivery teams, engineers, and supply chain partners. This is a dynamic site-based role requiring strong collaboration and visibility, where your input will directly shape how the project is delivered on the ground.
