We are recruiting for a Property Surveyor for a leading Social Housing provider based in Gloucestershire , supporting property services across the local region on a permanent basis.

As a Property Surveyor, you will be responsible for delivering a range of surveying services across housing stock, ensuring properties are maintained to a high standard, compliant with regulations, and fit for purpose. About the Company

Our client is a well-established Social Housing group managing a large portfolio of residential properties across Gloucestershire and the surrounding areas. They are committed to providing safe, high-quality homes and delivering excellent services to their tenants and communities.

The Property Surveyor role is offering:
  • Car allowance of £1,300
  • 55p per mile for business mileage
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Hybrid working
  • Local government pension scheme of up to 9%
Key responsibilities include:
  • Carry out responsive repair maintenance inspections, including pre-inspection prior to ordering and prepare written defects sheets and general information.
  • Prepare schedules, quantities, costs including use of NHF Schedule of rates where required and resolve contractor performance issues.
  • Carry out a minimum of 10% post-inspections, monitoring the quality and quantity of work claimed on completion, together with compliance with contract specifications/service standards by contractors.
  • Working closely and collaboratively with other customer facing teams to ensure jobs are raised and completed efficiently and satisfactorily.
  • Assist in advising the Repairs Manager of any problems, difficulties or issues affecting the performance of a contract or contractor, requiring escalation as appropriate.
  • Manage disrepair cases/projects assigned by the Repairs Manager, ensuring appropriate policies and procedures are adhered to, ensuring that properties are returned and maintained to the required standard and quality.
The successful Property Surveyor will have:
  • Professional surveying qualification
  • Experience preparing techincal reports, specifications and schedules of work
  • Social housing experience
