What will the Purchase Ledger Assistant role involve?

  • Managing high volumes of supplier and subcontractor invoices, ensuring accurate processing and coding aligned with project needs
  • Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies swiftly to maintain smooth supplier relationships
  • Assisting with the preparation of CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) returns, verifying subcontractor details and ensuring timely submission
  • Supporting VAT return submission and maintaining compliance with HMRC regulations
  • Collaborating with site teams and internal departments to resolve invoice and payment issues proactively, supporting the delivery of large-scale projects on time

Suitable Candidate for the Purchase Ledger Assistant vacancy:

  • Previous experience in purchase ledger or accounts payable, ideally with exposure to high-volume transaction processing
  • Confident communicator capable of working with internal teams and external suppliers in a professional manner
  • Proficient in Excel, with experience using financial software; current use of Sage 200 or similar systems is desirable
