Purchasing Assistant
Rotherham
£27,000 per annum
Full Time | Permanent
We are currently recruiting for a Purchasing Assistant to join a growing and fast-paced business based in Rotherham. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-oriented individual looking to develop their career within purchasing and supply chain operations.
Working closely with the procurement and operations teams, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day purchasing function, ensuring materials, products and supplies are ordered efficiently and delivered on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Raising and processing purchase orders
- Liaising with suppliers regarding pricing, lead times and deliveries
- Monitoring stock levels and supporting inventory management
- Chasing outstanding orders and updating internal systems
- Supporting invoice queries and supplier documentation
- Maintaining accurate purchasing records and databases
- Assisting with general administration within the procurement department
- Working closely with warehouse, finance and operations teams
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous administration or purchasing experience preferred
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines
- Proactive and willing to learn
- Experience within manufacturing, logistics, supply chain or procurement environments would be advantageous
