Purchasing Assistant

Purchasing Assistant | Worksop | Up to £32,000 | Temporary Contract

Elevation Recruitment Group is proud to be working in partnership with a well-established business based in Worksop, to recruit an experienced Purchasing Assistant on a temporary basis, with an immediate start required.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join a busy procurement function and make a real impact from day one.

The Role

As Purchasing Assistant, you will provide vital support to the procurement team, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of purchasing activities across the business. Working closely with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and the wider supply chain function, you will play a key role in keeping operations moving.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Raising and processing purchase orders accurately and in a timely manner
• Liaising with suppliers to chase outstanding orders and resolve delivery or invoice queries
• Maintaining and updating the procurement system and supplier records
• Monitoring stock levels and flagging shortages to the relevant team members
• Supporting the team with supplier onboarding and contract administration
• Assisting with reporting, data analysis, and general procurement administration
• Collaborating with internal departments including finance, warehouse, and operations

The Person

We're looking for candidates who are immediately available and ready to hit the ground running. You will ideally bring:

• Previous experience in a purchasing, procurement, or supply chain administration role
• Confidence using ERP or procurement systems (SAP, Oracle, Sage, or similar)
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
• Good communication skills and the ability to build effective supplier relationships
• A proactive, can-do attitude and the ability to work well under pressure
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

The Package

• Salary up to £32,000 (pro rata)
• Temporary role — 3-month minimum, with potential to extend
• Immediate start required
• Based in Worksop — fully on-site
