EMBS Engineering has been instructed to acquire a talented Purchasing Manager to join a market-leading, well-established Aerospace engineering company that specialises in the design and manufacture of intricate components for world-leading organisations.

With an international presence, our client has a business portfolio that spans the biggest names in Aerospace and Defence.

Following year-on-year growth, our client is looking to recruit a Purchasing Manager to join their existing talented team on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Liaising with all stakeholders across the business to understand project workflows and timelines on completion
• Understanding and tracking inventory 
• Developing the purchasing/procurement function 
• Day-to-day management of junior members of staff
• Implementation of a new ERP system

Successful applicants MUST be able to demonstrate:

• Exceptional relationship management skills, working seamlessly with both internal departments and external suppliers
• A natural communicator who can navigate negotiations and influence stakeholders at all levels
• At least 5 years of experience within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment
• Deep understanding of purchasing, inventory, and logistics
• A flexible approach to fluctuating workloads, thriving in a high-pressure environment where deadlines are non-negotiable
• A results-oriented problem solver who stays calm under fire and delivers outcomes
