Pay: £15.24 - £16.24
Shifts: 4on/4off

Cranswick Prepared Poultry is looking for a Quality Auditor to join the Technical Team. This role is responsible for ensuring food safety, product quality, and compliance with company, customer, retailer, and legal requirements.



Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor product quality and ensure products meet agreed specifications.
  • Promote and maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, GMP, and product integrity.
  • Complete CCP checks and quality monitoring activities.
  • Carry out microbiological swabbing, product sampling, and water testing.
  • Conduct hygiene audits, fabrication audits, and glass & brittle materials audits.
  • Calibrate factory equipment according to schedule.
  • Check incoming raw materials against specifications.
  • Verify packaging labels and ensure correct information is used.
  • Monitor tare weights, water dosing, and oil quality daily.
  • Operate and verify X-ray systems and required testing procedures.
  • Manage non-conforming products, work-in-progress (WIP), and quarantine records.
  • Report GMP breaches and quality concerns where required.
  • Support retailer and third-party audits and help prepare the site for visits.
  • Work with other departments to drive continuous improvement and reduce complaints.
  • Complete all required documentation and PowerApps records accurately and on time.


Requirements

  • Previous experience in FMCG or food manufacturing is preferred.
  • Level 2 Food Safety qualification preferred.
  • Good understanding of food safety, quality systems, GMP, and health & safety.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Good communication, attendance, and timekeeping.
  • Understanding of risk assessments, hazard identification, and near-miss reporting.
