We are currently recruiting for a Quality Engineering Assistant to join our client's team and work alongside their existing Quality Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career within quality and compliance in a manufacturing or engineering environment.

The successful candidate will support quality assurance activities, help maintain quality standards, and assist with continuous improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with customer and industry requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Quality Engineer with day-to-day quality activities and projects
• Assist in maintaining and improving Quality Management Systems
• Carry out internal audits and support external audit preparation
• Investigate quality concerns and contribute to corrective and preventative actions
• Liaise with customers regarding quality-related matters and provide professional communication throughout
• Assist with documentation, reporting, and compliance records
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across operations
• Promote and maintain health and safety standards within the workplace

Requirements

• Formal HNC / HND qualification, degree, or equivalent in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related discipline (graduates considered)
• Auditor qualification or experience with AS9100, ISO 9001, or Automotive Quality Standards
• Previous customer-facing experience with strong communication skills
• IOSH Health & Safety Certificate preferred
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment
• Good organisational and problem-solving abilities
