The Opportunity
An exciting contract opportunity has arisen for a Quality Engineer to support a major engineering project, working on-site to ensure compliance and quality assurance across mechanical and piping installations.
We would also welcome applications from these industries
Oil & gas, petrochemical, pharmaceutical manufacturing, power generation, and heavy industrial construction.
This role would suit candidates working in these roles
Quality Engineer, QA/QC Engineer, Mechanical Quality Engineer, Welding Inspector, Piping Quality Engineer, Inspection Engineer, Construction Quality Engineer, Site Quality Engineer, Compliance Engineer, Project Quality Engineer.
Your duties and responsibilities will be
- Review and assess contractor inspection and testing documentation to confirm adherence to project specifications
- Verify quality records and documentation to ensure compliance with applicable legislation and standards
- Provide on-site quality oversight across piping systems and mechanical equipment installation activities
- Support the implementation and monitoring of quality processes within a construction environment
- Collaborate with project teams to maintain high standards of safety, compliance, and workmanship
- Strong technical knowledge of piping installations, welding processes, and mechanical equipment systems
- In-depth understanding of UK regulations including Pressure Systems Safety Regulations, PE(S)R, and CDM
- Demonstrable background working within inspection, quality assurance, or construction environments
- Experience working on engineering or infrastructure projects in a site-based capacity
- Ability to work on-site full-time and manage quality activities independently
