Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Engineer to join a leading aerospace manufacturing environment supporting the delivery of high-performance aircraft control systems used in critical flight safety applications.
This position is ideal for an engineer with experience in quality, manufacturing, or engineering who is looking to further develop their career within a structured and highly regulated aerospace environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the planning and execution of quality activities across New Product Introduction (NPI) programmes
- Assist with APQP and PPAP activities, including preparation and submission of documentation
- Collaborate with Design, Manufacturing, and Supplier Quality teams to ensure smooth introduction of products into production
- Support the development of:
- Process Flows
- PFMEA
- Control Plans
- Investigate non-conformances and support root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing and assembly/test processes
- Ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements including AS9100, CAA, and EASA standards
- Participate in internal and customer meetings as required
Requirements:
- Experience within a quality, manufacturing, or engineering environment
- Exposure to APQP, PPAP, or structured quality planning methodologies
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and production environments
- Awareness of quality tools such as:
- PFMEA
- Control Plans
- Root Cause Analysis
- Strong communication and cross-functional teamwork skills
- Ability to prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks effectively
Desirable Experience:
- Aerospace or other regulated industry experience (Automotive, Medical, etc.)
- Knowledge of:
- AS9100
- IATF16949
- Similar quality standards
- Exposure to NPI or production support activities
- Familiarity with problem-solving methodologies such as:
- 8D
- RCCA
