We’re recruiting for an experienced Quality Inspector to join a well-established engineering business based in Weymouth. This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards and ensuring components meet strict engineering and customer specifications.
The company is looking for a detail-focused Quality Inspector who is confident working within a manufacturing environment and enjoys being hands-on with inspection processes, quality documentation, and continuous improvement activities.

Role Overview As a Quality Inspector, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
  • Inspecting machined and fabricated components against engineering drawings and specifications
  • Using a range of measuring equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Carrying out first-off, in-process, and final inspection checks
  • Recording and reporting non-conformance issues accurately
  • Supporting root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities
  • Maintaining clear and accurate quality documentation
  • Working closely with production and engineering teams to maintain quality standards
What They’re Looking For The business is keen to speak with candidates who have experience working as a Quality Inspector within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
You’ll ideally have:
  • Proven experience in a Quality Inspector role
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances
  • Confidence using measuring equipment including verniers, micrometers, and gauges
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • A reliable and proactive approach
The following would also be beneficial:
  • Experience using CMM equipment
  • Background within precision engineering or machining environments
  • Knowledge of ISO quality systems
