Do you have experience working within a manufacturing environment within quality control or quality inspection?

We are looking to recruit a quality inspector / lead technician to work for an established and growing manufacturing company based in Hereford.

If you have manufacturing experience and have been involved in QC of final goods, this would be a good opportunity for you.

Working Monday - Friday 06:00-14:00, 14:00-22:00 and 22:00-06:00 rotating on a weekly basis.

The overall purpose of this position is to visually inspect and pack good quality extruded products in accordance to written or verbal instructions. To ensure that your team are following the standards required and that the duties and responsibilities below are adhered to at all times.

Main duties:
* Monitor and Lead the packing operation and Operator staff.
* Maintain the work area to a high standard ensuring its clean, tidy & safe at all times.
* Ensure all packaging requirements are available for your own and the next shift.
* Ensure any Accidents or incidents are reported immediately and area made safe if required.
* Ensure all saws & Extraction units are operating and cleaned regularly.
* Check all product packing specifications are being adhered too.
* Ensure all finished goods are moved into designated areas ( W.I.P. / Quarantine etc)
* Carry out quality checks at specified intervals including go and no go gauges, measurements where required, visual defects & Report/Record on relevant documentation.
* Raise Non-conformance report (NCR) on any suspect products that don't meet the standard and agree with Shift Manager on whether to be scrapped or a concession raised and released.
* Inspect production lines regularly, checking all product conforms to customer requirements.
* Operate Digital Camera measuring system to assist maintaining product compliance.
* Operate and set Auto socketing machine & report any issues immediately.
* Carry out shift Handover with pre and post shifts daily.
* Attend any training courses as and when required

This is a temporary - permanent opportunity after a 12 week qualifying period.
