Our Client are a leading British Manufacturer within the Materials Handling sector. 
Currently recruiting for a Quality Systems Engineer.
Hours of work: 7.00am to 4:00pm (30 Minutes lunch) Monday to Thursday, 7.00am to 1.00pm on Fridays.
Primary Location: Stourport
The Role:
•    Maintain, develop and continually improve the Integrated Management System (IMS) covering ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
•    Ensure documented information (procedures, work instructions, forms, records) is controlled, current and aligned to the relevant ISO standards.
•    Plan, schedule and lead the internal audit programme; manage non-conformities, corrective actions and root cause analysis to closure.
•    Act as the primary point of contact for external certification bodies; coordinate and host surveillance and recertification audits.
•    Prepare and present Management Review inputs and outputs in line with ISO requirements.
Legal & Regulatory Compliance
•    Maintain a legal register of applicable UK Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety
•    legislation (e.g. Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974, Environmental Protection Act
•    1990, COSHH, RIDDOR, Waste Regulations, product-specific regulations).
•    Monitor changes in legislation and ensure that policies, procedures and operational
•    practices remain compliant.

The Candidate:
Essential Skills & Experience
•    Proven experience (typically 3+ years) in a quality / QHSE / management systems role
•    within a manufacturing environment.
•    Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
•    Qualified Internal Auditor (IRCA/CQI or equivalent); Lead Auditor qualification desirable.
•    Sound knowledge of UK H&S and environmental legislation applicable to
•    manufacturing.
•    Experience managing external certification audits.
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in root cause analysis
•    techniques.
•    Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with all levels of the
•    organisation.
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office and document control systems.


Desirable Skills & Experience
•    Degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Quality Management or a related discipline.
•    Membership of CQI, IEMA or IOSH.
•    NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.
•    Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or above).
•    Experience implementing or migrating to electronic QMS platforms.
