Job Role

We are recruiting for a Quality Technician to join a successful precision engineering manufacturer. This role would suit an experienced Quality Inspector, Goods In Inspector, Manufacturing Inspector, Quality Technician, Quality Control Inspector or someone with inspection experience gained within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
Working as part of the Quality team, you will help ensure that raw materials, components and finished products meet required quality standards while supporting the smooth flow of production.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Carrying out goods-in inspection, in-process inspection and final inspection of precision engineered components.
  • Identifying, reporting and managing non-conforming materials, components and products.
  • Recording inspection results and quality transactions accurately within the MRP system.
  • Booking in subcontract parts and supporting wider inspection activities across the manufacturing facility.
  • Supporting corrective actions, quality investigations and continuous improvement activities.
  • Helping maintain production schedules by ensuring quality issues are identified and resolved promptly, including minor rework where required.

Skills & Experience

You will ideally have:
  • Experience within a manufacturing, engineering, aerospace, automotive, machining or precision engineering environment.
  • Knowledge of inspection processes and quality control procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify quality issues accurately.
  • Experience using manufacturing software, MRP/ERP systems or quality recording systems would be advantageous.
  • Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
