Quality Technician

Location: Yarnton, Oxfordshire

Salary: Up to £40,000 p/a

Hours: 9:00am – 5:30pm

Job Type: Permanent

Are you a hands‑on Quality Technician with a passion for precision, problem‑solving and high‑performance engineering? This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast‑paced technical environment where your expertise will directly influence product quality and operational excellence.

As a Quality Technician, you’ll play a vital role in inspecting components, supporting production teams and ensuring that every part meets strict engineering and quality standards. You’ll work closely with engineering, assembly and testing teams to identify issues early, maintain robust documentation and contribute to continuous improvement across the business.

• Performing detailed inspections on components, assemblies and finished products

• Setting up and operating CMM equipment, interpreting measurement data with confidence

• Using precision tools such as calipers, micrometers and gauges to verify compliance

• Recording and reporting non‑conformances clearly and accurately

• Supporting root‑cause analysis and corrective actions

• Maintaining inspection records, traceability and quality documentation

• Working cross‑functionally to resolve quality issues and improve processes

• Strong experience in a quality technician or inspection role within engineering or manufacturing

• Proven experience setting and operating CMMs

• Proficiency with precision measurement tools and inspection equipment

• Excellent attention to detail and a methodical, analytical approach

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
