Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking an experienced and commercially aware Quantity Surveyor to join our team on a major infrastructure project based in Hampshire. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the commercial management and successful delivery of a large-scale project within a collaborative and fast-moving environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the commercial and contractual functions of the project, ensuring effective cost control, change management, and contract administration throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and administer project contracts and commercial processes
- Oversee compensation events, variations, and change management procedures
- Prepare, review, and negotiate contractual correspondence and documentation
- Monitor project costs, forecasts, and financial performance
- Support procurement activities and subcontract management
- Liaise with clients, consultants, supply chain partners, and legal representatives where required
- Review contract requirements and ensure compliance across project activities
- Identify commercial risks and support mitigation strategies
- Attend commercial meetings, manage records, and issue minutes and actions
- Produce regular reports, valuations, and supporting commercial information
Candidate Requirements
Skills & Attributes
- Strong commercial awareness and contractual understanding
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities within a project environment
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office packages including Excel, Word, and Outlook
Experience & Qualifications
- Previous experience in a Quantity Surveyor role within construction or infrastructure projects
- Knowledge of contract administration and change management processes
- Degree or higher-level qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English
- Full UK driving licence
