We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team and play a key role in delivering a diverse range of construction projects. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the financial and contractual aspects of construction projects from pre-construction through to final account. The Role

As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing all commercial and contractual aspects of construction projects.
  • Preparing cost plans, budgets, and cash flow forecasts.
  • Procuring subcontractors and negotiating terms and rates.
  • Preparing and issuing subcontract documentation.
  • Assessing and processing subcontractor applications and payments.
  • Valuing variations and change orders.
  • Preparing interim valuations and applications for payment.
  • Monitoring project costs, risks, and profitability.
  • Producing cost reports and presenting findings to senior management.
  • Managing final accounts with clients and subcontractors.
  • Identifying and mitigating commercial risks.
  • Supporting project teams with commercial advice and guidance.
  • Building strong relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners.
What We’re Looking For Essential Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of standard forms of contract, including JCT and NEC.
  • Excellent commercial awareness and cost management skills.
  • Experience in subcontract procurement and contract administration.
  • Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant commercial software.
  • Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (preferred).
