We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team and play a key role in delivering a diverse range of construction projects. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing the financial and contractual aspects of construction projects from pre-construction through to final account. The RoleAs Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for:
- Managing all commercial and contractual aspects of construction projects.
- Preparing cost plans, budgets, and cash flow forecasts.
- Procuring subcontractors and negotiating terms and rates.
- Preparing and issuing subcontract documentation.
- Assessing and processing subcontractor applications and payments.
- Valuing variations and change orders.
- Preparing interim valuations and applications for payment.
- Monitoring project costs, risks, and profitability.
- Producing cost reports and presenting findings to senior management.
- Managing final accounts with clients and subcontractors.
- Identifying and mitigating commercial risks.
- Supporting project teams with commercial advice and guidance.
- Building strong relationships with clients, consultants, and supply chain partners.
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of standard forms of contract, including JCT and NEC.
- Excellent commercial awareness and cost management skills.
- Experience in subcontract procurement and contract administration.
- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant commercial software.
- Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (preferred).
- Highly organised and detail-oriented.
- Proactive and commercially driven.
