• A leading M&E contractor based in Warrington is looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor with around 4–5 years’ experience to join their commercial team. With an annual turnover of circa £65m, the business delivers projects across the UK within residential, commercial, data centre, and healthcare sectors.
• Projects range from major schemes up to approximately £50m through to smaller works in the £5m–£10m range, offering strong exposure across a varied portfolio.
• The role would suit a Quantity Surveyor from a general construction background looking to develop on larger, more technically complex projects. Previous M&E experience would be beneficial, but is not essential.
• The Commercial Manager has recently joined the business and is in the process of building and shaping a new commercial team. This makes it an excellent time to join — offering the chance to learn, develop under fresh leadership, and play a key role in influencing how the team and function evolve moving forward.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting commercial management from pre-construction through to final account
• Preparing valuations, cost reports, and assisting with final accounts
• Subcontractor procurement and account management
• Monitoring budgets, variations, and cost performance
• Working closely with project teams to manage commercial delivery
• Assisting with forecasting and commercial reporting

Requirements

• 4–5 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor
• Background in construction
• Experience working with NEC forms of contract
• M&E experience beneficial but not essential
• Strong commercial awareness and cost control ability
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Keen to progress and take on more responsibility
